Welcome to Shikshapth’s Phonics Awareness Program, where each sound
opens a new world for your child. Our structured, engaging approach to phonics lays a
strong foundation for reading and vocabulary development. Designed in three
progressive levels, our program is tailored to nurture your child’s love for language.
Why have we divided the course in different levels of Phonics?
Shikshapth brings extensive expertise in Phonics, and our experts have discerned the benefits
of introducing children to the alphabet early on. As children dedicate their first year in school to
learning the 26 letters of the alphabet, this foundational exposure proves valuable. Additionally,
the ability to read CVC (Consonant-Vowel-Consonant) words instills confidence in children,
particularly as they navigate textbooks structured around CVC words. Our program initiates with
the 26 letter sounds and progresses to the subsequent 16 sounds, encompassing digraphs,
blends, and diphthongs. This comprehensive understanding of the 42 sounds not only enhances
children’s reading confidence but also cultivates their word-building skills.
At the final level, we introduce alternative sounds to children, helping them understand that
various letter combinations can produce similar sounds. We also provide training on utilizing
these combinations in accordance with word construction. Children are informed that words are
formed using specific rules, fostering a deeper understanding of language structure.”
